It's a Slippery Slope

We got to go on a "Day Date" thanks to our good friends Kim and Rob. They not only took our kids from sun-up to sun-down, but they hooked us up with a cross-country ski instructor, guide and photographer (which so happened to be Kim's dad)! Now how's that for a great date!?
Surprisingly enough, we were not too sore afterwards, which I credit not to my amazing abilities on the snow, but to the fact that as we were leaving the house Kim's mom yells to her husband "Take it easy on them!". THANK YOU DEBBY!
This is only one fall of the countless number of times that I "gracefully" plowed to a powdery stop...thank heaven for soft snow! As you will notice, there are no pictures of Steve on the ground...and no, it's not because he is far more superior in his skills, there are none to speak of...though I cannot prove anything, I will let the facts speak for themselves...the photographer was of the masculine sex.

Needless to say we had a blast! In fact, Steve has been saving up his allowance and has just purchased his first pair of skis. Kim's dad was so good to give us a pair, so now I just need to find some boots and we are set. We'll just strap the kiddos on and pull them behind us and off we go.

Meanwhile...back that homestead, our little snow fox were having a blast of their own with their friends shoveling, making snow balls and having the time of their life.
Kim's mom took these great snap shots of the brilliant time they all were having!

Thank you Kim, Rob, Jim and Debby for the unforgettable memories!
