"How Does Your Garden Grow?"

We spent the weekend working very hard on a family project that I have wanted to do for a while. With the rising cost of produce and the summer months well on their way an activity was begging to be created. Now there are community garden projects in the area but getting out of the house in a timely fashion with two squirly boys is sometimes a challenge, so for the sake of ease we planted our own veggie garden in the back.
The boys have been more than excited about the whole project. In Joshua's eagerness he nearly plucked out all the sprouts of the watermelon plant...oh well, its a good learning experience anyway.

Hopefully there will be something to show the fruits of their labor when all is said and done.

Writers Cramp

Some of you may know that I have been in the market for a new desk for Christopher. Well, I found one! And best of all it was free.
We traveled out to Fresno Wed. night to check it out and we were stood up. However, Christopher had his heart set on it so I called the next day to let the man know we were still interested...after all what is $20 and another 40 min. car ride when it would improve his schooling? Low and behold, the man was very agreeable and offered to simply give it to us at no cost for the confusion the night before...SCORE!!!! God is good!
Christopher woke up this morning begging to begin school...sigh. I love it!

Quilting Bug

Life has been a little complicated lately. What better to simplify it than to QUILT? My little sister is going to have her third baby in May and I wanted to make a blanket for her. So on Sunday I thought I would start it. It's Wednesday now, and I didn't realize that I would be done so soon. So far I have been at the birth of all of my sisters babies, six, including my own. We are all excited to start evening the odds on the girls side!
